Club Nights

Foamwings is available for club night talks on wing cutting and veneering. In particular the techniques and tools use by ourselves.

Please note that we are in Glen Isla, which is on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, 35 miles north of Dundee and Perth, and while we will do our best to travel, in some cases it will not be possible.

The presentation will consist of:

• slide show
• demo of design software
• how we scan sections
• design the wing
• create the cutting files for the CNC cutter.
• Screen shots of the cutting software
• videos of foam cutting, veneering & vacuum bagging.
• Some samples of our work

All wrapped up with a very informal talk

I'll not be able to do live cutting due to the size of the machine, and the software will not run on a PC without the cutter being connected (hence the screen shots)

Samples of our work will be available to view, and a CD copy of the presentation and videos with some other bits & pieces will be available to take away. There may be a modest price to cover the cost of the media.

We do have one request though. I'll need access to a 'LightPro' a projector which my laptop will plug into so I can display the presentation, and a screen. Maybe a member can borrow one for the evening.
